Eric Ness, 58, of Camptonville

Eric Ness, lovingly referred to as "Elmo" by his family and close friends, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2026, at the age of 58, surrounded by his family. He was born March 13, 1967.

Eric had just begun enjoying the well-earned retirement he achieved after 38 years with Teichert Construction. He was passionate about the outdoors and adventure, loving to cruise backroads in his Jeep, hunting, and photographing the wildlife and landscapes he encountered. He had a special fondness for Fort Bragg, where he spent days kayaking and searching for sand dollars along the shore.

Known for his wit, sensitivity, and deeply loving nature, Eric brought laughter and joy wherever he went. He will be remembered with deep affection by all who knew him.

Eric is survived by his children Colton, Dallas, and Ashley; his grandson Landon; his mother Marylin; his brother Brian; his sister and brother-in-law Johanna and Paco Garcia; and his nephews Fisher Ness, Justin Garcia, and Mateo Garcia. He was preceded in death by his father Theodore.
